The South Beach Wine and Food Festival starts Thursday. This is the big time -- when us mere mortals can brush up to the likes of food superstars like Martha Stewart, Anthony Bourdain and Emeril Lagasse. Walking through the tents, we'll thrill at the sight of these men and women who make us marvel at the wonders of a perfect golden roast chicken, a crispy piece of bacon, a tasty cold cocktail. What we forget during the fest is that these people are human, just like us. To remind you of that fact, we've put together a collection of the dumbest things food celebrities have done on video.
Rachael Ray
In this video, Rachael demonstrates how to get the silk off corn, but it's oh so much more than that. Rachel certainly has a knack for the particular hand movement that's needed to thread the corn, among other things.
Andrew Zimmern
Andrew Zimmern has done so many wacky things (yes, eating bats is, well...batty no matter what the local tribesmen say. If the local tribesmen were going to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge -- would you jump too?) that it's hard to pick one. But to be spit upon and whacked around with some leaves is pretty funny. Add manboobs and you've got yourself a winning video.
Anthony Bourdain
If you're a fan of No Reservations, you'll notice that Tony is pretty much up for eating the local cuisine. He's eaten camel and guinea pig and proclaimed "not bad," but these boiled grasshoppers that are staring at him looking like an alien spy don't get his love.
Emeril Lagasse
W.C. Fields once said don't work with kids or Muppets. Here, Emeril breaks both rules.
Martha Stewart
Surprisingly, Martha Stewart has a ton of bloopers to choose from. Turns out the ice queen has a sense of humor - go figure. We like this one because, frankly, who doesn't love a video with a Dick and pumpkin head in it?
Guy Fieri
It's hard to choose exactly which video of Guy Fieri going batshit crazy to choose, but in the end we had to choose "Homewrecker Hotdogs." In it, Guy is amazed to find people weirder and more hillbilly than him.
