Google "I hate Brussels Sprouts" and you come up with 128,000 hits. There are surveys from Australia and Britain naming Brussels sprouts the "most hated vegetable", an "I Hate Brussels Sprouts" Facebook page, and an "I Hate Brussels Sprouts" forum, where you can share your hatred with like minded individuals.

Dig deeper and you'll find a study conducted by The Spanish National Research Council that finds Neanderthals hated Brussels sprouts 48,000 years ago. With press like that, it's no wonder they have such a bad reputation. Either Miami never got the "I hate Brussels sprouts" memo, or our palates have evolved since Caveman times, because Brussels sprouts are popping up on the menus of some of Miami's best restaurants and even made our 100 Favorite Dishes list. Next time you're dining out, consider the Brussels sprouts at one of these restaurants.

Prime 112 serves celebrities, athletes and power brokers steaks and sides. Recently President Bill Clinton dined with Cameron Diaz and A-Rod. We're sure they tried Prime 112's roasted Brussels sprouts with pancetta and balsamic glaze. At $11, it seems pricey, but portions are made to be shared, family style.

Michael's Genuine Food & Drink is a place for simple responsible food. Chef and Restaurateur Michael Schwartz said this about America's aversion to Brussels sprouts "That's a statistic that I was made aware of four or five years ago. They're terrific and everyone I know loves them. I love them, people love them and I think someone's conspiring against Brussels sprouts." Michael's love shows in his wood roasted Brussels sprouts with pancetta and lemon aioli ($8).

Sugarcane Raw Bar & Grill in Midtown Miami features an ecclectic tapas menu with items such as tripe, veal kidneys, bacon wrapped dates, bone marrow and duck & waffles. Along with these delectable small plates you'll find Brussels sprouts flavored with orange and sweet soy ($8).

Sakaya Kitchen's Brussels sprouts are so good, they've been named on our "100 Best Dishes" list. Sakaya Kitchen's ginger Brussels sprouts can also be found on their food truck Dim Ssam a Gogo, currently driving around Miami. At $3.49, these sprouts are easy on the palate and the pocket.
