Brunch at The Forge: Bloody Marys and Buffets

Mac and Cheese with Roasted Wild Mushrooms and Truffle

The Forge, the iconic Miami Beach restaurant that reopened late last year, is serving Sunday brunch. Last Sunday was the inaugural event, and the dining room was packed and swung to the sounds of Sinatra and Buble.

The brunch, which costs $55 for adults, $32 for kids 10 and under is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It features unlimited make-your-own Bloody Marys and Mimosas. The Bloody Mary bar features several vodkas, including a jalapeno-infused vodka that packs a lot of heat.

Diners choose one main entree from The Forge's menu, which includes both sweet and savory choices including steak and eggs, mac and cheese with roasted wild mushrooms and truffle, smoked salmon platter, french toast and malted berry pancakes.

Guests are invited to visit the Grand Tasting Buffet Table and Dessert Buffet along with the main course. Selections from the Grand Tasting buffet includes Bloody Mary grouper ceviche, potato pancakes, blinzes with ricotta cheese and spinach, turkey sausage, yogurt, beet salad and Forge chopped salad. The dessert buffet offers several different cakes and pastries, though no real standouts.

Though pricey, this brunch should do well with the regular Forge crowd and for special occasions like birthdays and Mother's Day.
