Rosa Mexicano South Beach: More Than Just Margaritas

​If you're thinking Rosa Mexicano is just about a killer margarita and a big bowl of guacamole custom-tailored to your liking, think again muchacha. Yes, Rosa Mexicano serves up a mean margarita, but does any hombre or señorita live on Margaritas alone?

To celebrate the opening of the new restaurant on the corner of Lincoln and Alton, the good people at Rosa Mexicano have put together a collection of cocteles especiales. These may not force you to break up with Margarita altogether, but they will tempt you to cheat on her every once in a while. At $7 to $10 for most, you can afford to try all of these tempting little sirens. Viva tequila!

El Mezcalito is made with fresh strawberry, Tanteo-Jalapeno-infused silver tequila, Del Maguey-Vida mezcal, fresh lemon and organic agave. Fruity with a hint of heat.

​La Mandarina is made with fresh muddled tangerine, fresh basil, El Jimador silver tequila, fresh lemon and organic agave. It's a great alternative to the "overdone" mojito.

​A Michelada is a beer cocktail. El Betabel is made with Pacifico beer, beet juice, fresh lime and Cholula. It's surprisingly refreshing and makes a great alternative to a Bloody Mary for lunchtime.

​Rosa Mexicano's Passion Fruit Margarita is the one you come back to after fooling around with all those other drinks. Made with silver agave tequila, passion fruit puree, Cointreau and lime.
