BTTR Tonight: The Chill Stop's Italian Ices Cool Miami
|The Chill Stop|
|Chillin' out with some Italian ices.|
Enter John and Tessi from the Chill Stop, a new, all-natural mobile Italian ice company set to debut at BTTR tonight. These Johnson & Wales baking and pastry graduates have given Miamians a new and delicious way to keep cool.
The Italian ice flavors are handmade using fresh, local produce and South Florida sugar. No preservatives, artificial colors, or artificial flavors are included, and the products are gluten-free, egg-free, and vegetarian-friendly. Flavors such as double chocolate, peanut butter, orange, lemon, and strawberry change daily. You can find out the daily flavors on Twitter.
In other truck news, Giselle Pinto, the supercute owner of dessert truck Sugar Yummy Mama, is taking her American citizenship exam today. In honor of the occasion, she has promised to have special red, white, and blue goodies for sale this evening.
And last but not least, Caza Crepes has a friend referral program listed on its website. If you refer five new friends to crepe-eating, you'll get 50 percent off your next order (up to $10).
The BTTR, held adjacent to Johnson & Wales University at NE 127th Street and Biscayne Boulevard, features live music, free parking, and space for picnicking. Trucks serve dinner from 5:30 to 10 p.m. ATM machines are nearby for your convenience. Trucks scheduled to attend the BTTR are as follows:
Sugar Yummy Mama
Slow Food Truck
Dim Ssäm à Gogo
Chef on 4 Wheels
Giuseppe's Italian Sausage
