Crawfish Boil This Sunday at The Stage

We must give props to Lizzie Easton for coming up with the idea for Family Style Sundays at The Stage. It gives parents who otherwise may not go out much a chance to listen to live music, grab a drink at the bar (hopefully at least one parent is staying sober) and get a bite to eat while their kids are happily entertained. Why didn't anyone think of this before?

There's always a food component to the event. During South Beach Wine & Food Festival, chef Jeremiah Bullfrog and Alex Talbot of Ideas in Food served brunch out of the Gastropod. Last week, food was provided by Purple People Eatery. And this Sunday, The Stage hosts its first annual crawfish boil sponsored by Farm Stores and Gardners Market.

The event starts at 2 p.m. and the Frost School of Music's Folk U band will play live bluegrass until 4 p.m. There's no admission fee but you pay for whatever you consume. Oh, and having a child is not required.
