Manila Rice Food Truck Debuts, Weekend Meetups at Bayfront, on Miller Drive, and at Tobacco Road
|Cecille Pangan with her Manila Rice Truck|
Manila Rice features authentic Filipino chow, with recipes taken from Cecille's 74-year-old grandmother, who catered fiestas in the Philippines.
Specialties include Adobo, a one-pot dish made with sauteed meat and vegetables, and Filipino egg rolls. Desserts will include turon (sweet plantains and jackfruit wrapped in an egg roll wrapper and served with chocolate syrup and ice cream) and Halo Halo, a refreshing blend of shaved ice, coconut milk, and fruit.
For now, Manila Rice plans to roll on its own before joining the round-ups, but you can find locations on their Facebook page.
