​Since 1942, the Metro Deli has served overstuffed pastrami, corned beef and turkey on old fashioned Jewish rye bread to thousands of loyal customers looking for a taste of real New York-style deli. The bad news is that Metro Deli closed. The good news is that owners Joe and Denise opened a food truck.

With the rollout of the Metro Deli Express, authentic deli comes to your neighborhood. Metro Deli Express serves favorites like hot corned beef ($8), pastrami ($8), turkey and tuna on old-fashioned rye or a hoagie roll, but The Dagwood is the sandwich that can make you a star.

The Dagwood, named after cartoon character Dagwood Bumstead (Blondie's sandwich-obsessed husband), is a triple-decker stuffed with black-forest ham, white meat turkey breast, hickory smoked bacon, white American cheese, pastrami, corned beef brisket, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing on multi-grain bread. Eat one for $11 and Metro Deli Express will celebrate your achievement by posting your picture on their website.

Conquer The Dagwood tonight at Cauley Square, where food trucks will be serving dinner from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Cauley Square offers free parking, a wine and beer garden, live music and lots of racoons (no joke)!
