Eternity Coffee Roasters Coming Downtown: One Cup at a Time
Owners Chris Johnson, a native of the San Francisco Bay area, and Cristina Garces from Medellin, Colombia, have enviable backgrounds in the coffee industry. Chris is the Roast Master and lead Barista. In 2006 he opened a specialty coffee import company emphasizing micro-lots from Colombia. He has studied under coffee guru Wilhem Boot (of Boot Coffee Consulting), and is versed in cupping, roast profiling, and advanced roasting techniques. Cristina comes from a long line of growers; her family owned farms in Concordia Colombia for 60 years. Her father was born on Eternity's namesake farm, Finca La Eternidad, which will supply the downtown shop with a specialty line of estate and micro lot coffees.
| One cup at a time. |
Eternity Coffee Roasters features a traditional Italian espresso menu, but the industrial interior is upscale, and, as we say, the custom designed pour-over-bar will ensure the robust taste of the beans -- from not only Colombia, but Kenya, Ethiopia, and other coffee-growing regions. Teas, juices, and panini sandwiches will also be on hand, along with free WiFi, outdoor seating, and Sunday morning cuppings (re: disciplined coffee tastings).
