Meet The Frita Man at T.O.W. Tonight
|The Frita Man|
|The Frita Man -- Superhero of burgers.|
Beltran built a trailer from scratch and became...The Frita Man!!
It's been great",
Beltran The Frita Man told Short Order. "My family was in the restaurant business and I've always wanted to get involved. This is working out really well. So far I really like it."
The Frita Man makes -- what else? -- fritas, which are basically Cuban hamburgers. The big difference between a frita and a burger is the meat. Fritas are made with a combination of beef, Cuban sausage, pork, ground onions and special seasoning, making for a richer, more flavorful bite.
The Frita Man serves three varieties of fritas, all on a Cuban Hoagie Roll. Customers can try the traditional Cuban frita, The American frita (American cheese and pickles) or the Mexican frita (Japapeno and Guacamole). All fritas are $5.
If you can't commit or want to try all three, mini fritas are available at $2.50 each in any of the above versions.
Beltran The Frita Man makes his own version of the hot dog by stuffing a sausage casing with ground frita meat. The hot dog frita ($4.50) is served on a 12" hot dog roll.
The Frita Man is also one of the few trucks to serve a kiddie meal ($3.75), consisting of a mini frita or chicken fingers and fries -- perfect for little appetites.
The Frita Man serves up his famous fritas at T.O.W. tonight from 5:30 to 10 pm along with Aarons Catering Express, Big Kahuna, Chef on 4 Wheels, Chef on Wheels, CheeseMe, ChurroMania, Curbside Gourmet, Daddy's Grill, Dim Ssam a Gogo, Divan Bakery, Dolci Peccati Gelato, Esther's Caribbean Grill, The Flying Saucer, GastroPod, Gyromaniakz, Kona Ice, Latin Burger, The MexZican Gourmet, Mr. Good Stuff, Ms. Cheezious, Muscle Truck, The Red Koi, The Red Truck, El Rincon Del Coqui, ShaoRoma Romanian Grill, Sugar Rush, Sugar Yummy Mama, Wing Commander, Wrapidito Yum and Yellow Submarine. 14187 SW 72nd Street, Miami
