Schmidt started working in the family kitchen at the age of six, then attended culinary school at the age of 15. Chef Bernd's career highlights include senior sous chef at two Four Seasons properties and corporate executive chef at Canyon Ranch.
No word yet about changes to DiLido's menus, though traditionally the restaurant allows the chef de cuisine to showcase his individual talents with additions to the menu.
We do have confirmation that the watermelon sangria will remain on the menu, and for that we're thankful.
