Doraku, Pasha's to Open New Miami Locations

Doraku's South Beach bar is known for its happy hour. We're hoping the tradition continues in Brickell.

​Doraku, home to everyone's favorite happy hour, is opening a second Florida location in Mary Brickell Village.

According to the manager of the SoBe location, the lease was just signed this week and not much information is available aside from the fact that Doraku will occupy the former Abokado space.

The new Doraku has a planned December 2011 opening and will likely start out with the same menu as the Miami Beach location until management gets a feel for the neighborhood. No word yet whether that fantastic happy hour will be transferred along with the lychee martinis, but we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Owner Kevin Aoki also owns Doraku in Waikiki, Hawaii, and plans to open additional restaurants in Honolulu and Kuala Lumpur. If the name sounds familiar, it's because Aoki is the son of famed Benihana creator, Rocky Aoki.

Pasha's Design District pulling a location switcheroo.

​And Pasha's, best known for healthy fast food with plenty of vegetarian options, will open a new location on the first floor of Jackson's Health System Biscayne Medical Plaza at 3801 Biscayne Boulevard, Open Media Miami reports.

To keep Pasha's restaurant count at a lucky seven, the chain plans to close its location at 3801 N. Miami Avenue in the Design District, according to Amanda Maltica, Pasha's Human Resources Manager.

Pasha's opened its first restaurant on South Beach in 2003, which remains one of the few wallet-friendly eateries on Lincoln Road. Other locations include Brickell, Aventura Mall, Coral Gables, and the Four Seasons Hotel.
