Segafredo Pairs Cocktails With People

Each of these models represented a new Segafredo cocktail.

​Segafredo L'Originale on South Beach hosted an unusual and lively reception that paired their new collection of cocktails with people.

Six drinks were showcased, each represented by a costumed model that personified the libation. As each model walked the makeshift runway, their namesake was served in Martini glasses.

Scorecards were passed out, as guests rated each cocktail (and model) for looks (from "Seriously? No!" to "OMG WOW!"), taste (from "I'm spitting this out" to "I'm in Heaven"), and strength (from "Too weak, this is a scam" to "I'm definitely not driving").

As scores of onlookers stopped to watch the parade of Carnivale queens, gladiators, and tropical princesses, guests decided what worked (the Caprese Swirl brought to mind a cafe in Roma and the Choco-Nutella Martini was rich in cocoa and booze) and what didn't (The OR-G Martini tasted too much like an Orange Fanta).

​Cocktails (and models) were rated on looks, taste and strength.

​This Carnavale queen represented the Brazilian Martini, made with vodka, Chambord, raspberry and strawberry puree.

​We decided to pass on this guy's invitation to an OR-G (OR-G Martini, that is)

​This peach of a girl represented the Pisco Peach Martini, spiced up with Tabasco sauce.

​We know Jersey Shore is in Rome, but...seriously? OK, so maybe the costume was funny, but the Choco-Nutella Martini was rich and strong....like a gladiator?

​This tropical flower represented the Coconut Martini.

​La Dolce Vita! This Italian bombshell represented the hit drink of the evening, the Caprese Swirl. Here's the recipe for you to try at home.

Caprese Swirl

2 oz dark rum
3-4 pcs. basil leaves
2 pcs. fresh strawberry
1/2 oz. strawberry puree
Splash of balsamic vinegar
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
1 tbs. brown sugar

Blend ingredients with ice until frozen.
Decorate with basil leaves, fresh strawberry and balsamic.
