Yardbird Southern Table & Bar Opening Delayed; Commercial Spot Released

​Yardbird Southern Table & Bar, the Southern-inspired restaurant to be helmed by Top Chef and Gigi alum Jeff McInnis, is now geared for fall 2011. That is a few weeks later than was originally announced back in early June.

The bistro, a partnership of McInnis, restaurateur John Kunkel (Lime Mexican) and Chris Romero (Southern Brand Collective), will feature an extensive whiskey and bourbon collection, and will serve lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

Menu items include Lleewllyn's super-fine fried chicken served with spiced watermelon, apricot stuffed quail served with Johnny cakes and seared foie gras, and chicken-and-chive waffles with bourbon pecan butter.

By the menu (and the teaser video), poultry around South Florida have another reason to be very nervous, indeed.

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar will be located at 16th Street and Lenox Avenue in South Beach.
