Award winning burgers with bite: Bite GastroTruck debuts service tonight
There's no dearth of food trucks on the Miami scene selling burgers, true, but there's always room for one that sells award-winning burgers.

That's the thinking behind chef Ron Kerr's foray into the food truck business. The chef at Georgie's Alibi, the Wilton Manors pub/lounge, is debuting his brand-spanking-new truck, Bite GastroTruck, tonight at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The house specialty? Burgers.

Not just any burgers, mind you. These are flat-top cooked burgers ($7.50), made from beef ground daily. The burgers are served with the usual toppings, some free, with premium toppings like thick-cut bacon an addition $1 charge per item.

Georgie's Alibi burgers won the Riverwalk Trust Burger Battle an astonishing two years in a row, beating out dozens of entries from restaurants across south Florida.

Kerr also plans to do full-service catering out of his Bite truck.

Food trucks at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino tonight from 5:30 to 10 p.m. features a showing of the movie Back to the Future under the stars.

Enjoy street food from over two dozen trucks, including Bite GastroTruck, Chamos on Wheels, CheeseMe Mobile, Churro Mania, Cuban Cube, Daddy's Grill, Dim Ssam a Gogo, Dog Eat Dog, Dolci Peccati Gelato, The Fish Box, The Flying Saucer, GastroPod, Grill Master Cafe, Guiseppe's Italian Sausage, Latin Burger, Mangia Mia, The MexZican Gourmet, Miso Hungry, Mr. Good Stuff, Ms. Cheezious, Nacho Bizness, Nacho Mama's, The Red Koi, The Rolling Stove, and Slow Food Truck. I'm not quite sure you've used dearth correctly here. It's also singular.
