Blue Door Fish Says Goodbye with Winemaker Dinner
|Aww, shucks. This could be Blue Door Fish's last winemaker dinner.|
Hosted by Tommy Oldre of Tablas Creek Vineyard, the winemaker dinner -- probably the restaurant's last -- will be held next Wednesday, October 19. The meal costs $95 per person, but you'll get to try Chef Sean Bernal's creations along with multiple glasses of the California wines, including the Patelin de Tablas Blanc 2010 released this past spring. (Bernal is pairing that selection with Kusshi oysters wrapped in cucumber and topped with wasabi caviar, crispy nori, and white soy ponzu, FYI.) Also on the menu are tempura Florida lobster, scallops and foie with charred pineapple, swordfish au poive, oxtail ravioli, and a surprise dessert. Hmm.
No one should be singing the blues after that meal. For reservations, call 305-674-6400.
