Krispy Kreme to Open in Florida City: Job Fair Today and Tomorrow

OMG, they do look kinda awesome, don't they?

​Krispy Kreme is more than a doughnut; it's an obsession to some people. Don't believe us? Bring a dozen Krispy Kremes to your office and watch grown men and women turn into sugar junkies as they push each other out of the way in an attempt to nab a warm glazed.

Sure, you can get Krispy Kreme at your local gas station or drugstore, but there's something about the little Krispy Kreme stores. Maybe it's the aroma of freshly baked sugary goodness; maybe it's the neon sign that invites you to get 'em while they're hot. Maybe it's the fact that there are only four of these freestanding shops in South Florida.

That's about to change November 7, when Krispy Kreme will open a Florida City outpost. The grand-opening celebration will begin at 6 a.m., when the first batch of doughnuts will come out of the oven. The shop will be open 24 hours, with hot-light hours (when the doughnuts emerge all fresh and warm from the oven) from 6 to 11 a.m. and 6 to 11 p.m.

Krispy Kreme is also holding a job fair today and tomorrow in a search of 65 employees for the new location. Walk-in applicants are welcome to apply from 9 a.m. to noon and 3 to 7 p.m. today and tomorrow. Full- and part-time team members, bakers, sanitation, and retail postitions are available. Fast-food experience is preferred.

Krispy Kreme's new Florida City shop will be located at 32999 S. Dixie Hwy.
