More Than 1,000 Thanksgiving Meals Handed Out at Marlins Stadium

More that 10,00 Thanksgiving meals were distributed to families in need throughout South Florida. Receiving families were chosen by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami, Abriendo Puertas, Sagrada Familia and other local charitable associations.
Numerous families received a turkey, fixings and desserts. Director of community outreach Angela Smith said, "We take our neighborly responsibility very seriously and we intend to continue making a difference in the lives of South Floridians."
Farm Share is an organization helping the hungry and always in need of donations. A $10 donation to this food bank ultimately turns into 115 pounds of food distributed to local churches, homeless shelters, and soup kitchens. Feel like donating? Call 305-248-3006.
