Creators of Bad Jew BBQ, a certified Kosher and dairy-free barbecue sauce, will give out a bottle of their product to each ticket holder. They'll also donate their signature sauce to the Jewish Community Services Kosher Food Bank.
Not roused yet? How about entertainment featuring Hebrew, English, Yiddish, and Ladino-inspired Hanukkah tunes, including an exciting arrangement of Chanukah, O Chanukah? Oy vey... The Second Avenue Jewish Chorale will headline performances.
"We are so excited to be celebrating Chanukah through a variety of disciplines: musical, culinary, linguistic, cultural and of course charitable! Chanukah never tasted or felt as rich as it will at Next@19th on December 21," says Jenni Person, director of Next@19th.
As Bad Jew BBQ's slogan goes, "It takes a bad Jew to make good BBQ."
Each attendee is encouraged to donate two Kosher items to receive 50 percent off their ticket. Tickets are $15 per person; $12 for students, seniors, and artists, and are available at brownpapertickets.com. For more information please visit nextat19th.org or call 305-542-7732.
