Brickell Farmers Market (1300 South Miami Avenue between 13th and 14th Streets) December 10, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sponsored by Slow Food USA, the open-air market will offer local produce, local honey, French breads and pastries, gourmet empanadas, cupcakes by Confetti, Howie's BBQ ribs, chicken and pulled pork, large selection of pickles, grass fed beef, papardelle pasta and fresh mozzarella (there are few things better than fresh mozzarella, by the way). Here you will also get the opportunity to become a member of the non-profit eco-gastronomic organization.
Twilight Garden Tour Open House at the Kampong (4013 South Douglas Road) December 10 - 11, 4 to 6 p.m.
With a Groupon deal of just $20, guests will receive a guided tour of the 11 acre grounds which feature exotic and rare plants. This was the same location where Chef Michael Schwartz hosted the Ark of Taste Benefit back in October. If you were there, you'll remember it was lovely. If you weren't, find out for yourself this weekend.
Now to start supporting the movement for good, clean and fair food -- off you go.
