Mai Tardi in Design District Celebrates With Closing Party
| Mai Tardi is going out with a bang! |
Not Mai Tardi, the lively design district eatery known for beautiful al fresco dining. The restaurant will be officially closing its doors on February 11, after a lease buyout from Dacra. The reason for the closing? Extensive construction work which would interfere with Mai Tardi's business, which is mostly outdoors.
To celebrate it's closing, Mai Tardi is hosting a blowout party on February 8 from 7 p.m. until closing. Graspa Group, owners of Mai Tardi are inviting their other restaurants to join in on the fun, so you'll have an opportunity to sample signature amuse-bouches by Salumeria 104, Soyka, Tiramesu, Spris, and Van Dyke Cafe from 7 to 8 p.m. Segafredo L'Originale on Lincoln Road will provide a Prosecco bar from 7 to 9 p.m., and there will be live performances, slide shows, and other surprises to be announced.
It's still up in the air whether Mai Tardi plans to reopen when construction is completed, but Dacra's CEO Craig Robbins is bullish on the restaurant's return to the design district, "We are hopeful that one of my favorite cafes in the neighborhood, Mai Tardi, will return after our planned expansion."
