Short Order is giving you tickets to the Grind.

​The Grind, Miami's home grown burger competition is a month away and the competition is heating up. On March 31 at 7 p.m., 30 local restaurants will serve up their best burgers for your eating pleasure at Wynwood's Miami Entertainment Complex.

Restaurants battling for the coveted golden grinder awards will be announced soon, but as a teaser, Short Order has the five restaurants competing for the Best Frita title.

The frita is near and dear to the hearts of Miamians. With Cuban origins, a frita is a spiced burger on a bun or Cuban bread, topped with sauce (or ketchup) and shoestring potatoes. What makes the frita special is the spices in the meat and the meat blends. Each frita restaurant has their unique take on the recipe, usually in a top secret formula.

The fritas competing in the Grind are:

• Islas Canarias
• Cuban Guys
• Frita Man
• The Frita Shop

Which frita will claim victory? Get your tickets to the Grind to find out. Advance tickets are $75, VIP (which includes an extra hour of eating, judges meet and greet, and a souvenir VIP badge) is $125.
