Only $25 for this waterfront view from the Rusty Pelican.
In honor of Administrative Professionals Day (say that three times fast), numerous establishments are providing quick escapes for those backbones of our offices. Waterfront lunches with views of downtown, indulgent spa escapes and even free cocktails can be found around the city on April 25.

This holiday, also known as 'Admin Day', was first celebrated exactly 60 years ago, in 1952. It was created by public relations executive Harry Klumfess and his colleagues. The goal was to shed light on the new career roll, and the long term potential that it had. Today, according to the U.S. Department of Labor Statistics, over 4 million people are registered as having a clerical-based career.

Working in the office everyday, for a good portion of the day, is no easy task. This year, administrative assistants in South Florida have something to smile about.

A weekend get-away to the French Riveria is going to cost you, but a trip to French eatery, db Bistro Moderne isn't. Their prix fixe menu of only $24 allows you to enjoy items such as spiced mussels, pumpkin ravioli and warm housemade pitas. If you can somehow prove your work status as an administrative assistant, you can get free cocktails at the bar during their happy hour.

Pay a buck more to receive breath taking waterfront visuals at Key Biscayne's Rusty Pelican.

Just shortly after the holiday last year, the Rusty Pelican underwent a serious cosmetic overhaul. From July to December 2011, it closed for a $9 million renovation.

They will be offering a set menu including items such as sea bass ceviche, boneless half roasted chicken, and Miami caprese salad for only $25 per person. And no, you don't have to be an administrative assistant to indulge.

Fontainebleau
La Côte: A view well deserved for a year of hard work.
Or maybe a day at the spa sounds more appealing to your right hand man, (or woman). Lapis Spa at the Fontainebleau is offering a hodgepodge of facial and massage options, ranging anywhere from $60-$80. After your Forever Young Facial, hop on down to La Côte and enjoy unobstructed panoramic views of the water. Twenty-eight dollars will get you options such as ceaser salad, grilled mahi ciabatta and quatro leches. Don't forget to claim your free glass of sangria.
