Coral Gables Restaurant Week Starts Today: What Not to Miss

With more than 30 restaurants participating in Coral Gables Restaurant Week from June 4-17, the fifth annual edition of the highly popular Miami foodie favorite can get a little confusing. Luckily, this isn't our first rodeo.

First thing's first: Restaurant week means each participating eateries offer a three-course lunch and/or dinner menu with at least 20 percent off the regular menu prices. Last Thursday at the Taste of the Gables event, 20 of the participating restaurants showcased what they had to offer. Among our favorites:








Looking at the above map, it is clear that most participating restaurants are near Coral Way (Miracle Mile) and Ponce de Leon. Among these are popular chain restaurants Benihana, Seasons 52 and Morton's. Benihana has entertaining toques. Seasons 52 and Morton's dish out high-end American cuisine -- if you didn't know already.

Tired of the same old boring chain restaurants? Try Randazzo just up the block from the aforementioned intersection. It is the definition of authentic Italian food, from the traditional Italian dishes to the family-owned atmosphere and unique variations on the original. Elsewhere you have Fleming's Steakhouse, with its reasonable prices and five-star service. And don't forget La Dorada if your in the mood for Mediterranean cuisine that rivals what can be found on the shores of the French Riviera.

All in all, just a few minutes getting familiar with the map found here can make you an expert on this popular event.
