Miami Heat Dunkin' Donut, La Moon, Food Trucks, and Area 31 Celebrate Today

When you walk out the door today, you might get hit with a bout of humidity from Tropical Storm Debby, but today Miami's all about the Heat.

Miami will be celebrating in the streets today when the Miami Heat parade kicks off at 11 a.m. today. Starting at the corner of SW Eighth Street and Second Avenue, the parade heads east on Eighth and then north on Brickell Avenue, then will cross the bridge into downtown, heading north on Biscayne Boulevard and ending at American Airlines Arena.

Area 31 at the Epic Hotel is holding a fancy watch party complete with Bloody Marys, lunch specials, and a major view, but Short Order has three more economical ways for you to celebrate.

Latin Burger, Ms. Cheezious, and the Latin Burger/Milagro Tequila trucks will be serving lunch directly on the parade route on NE 2nd Street and Biscayne Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Grab a beach chair, head out the door and grab a good spot for the parade.

Should LeBron or any of his teammates feel a little peckish as they pass the trucks, Latin Burger is promising free food to all Miami Heat players and coaches today. We figure they could hop out of their convertibles, grab a snack to go and enjoy it during the last few blocks to the AAA. That would be awesome!

If breakfast is your thing, Dunkin' Donuts is celebrating with "Heat"-inspired donuts. The doughnut will be a heart-shaped pastry with the word Heat and red, chocolate and white icing. This limited-edition treat will only be available today at participating Dunkin' Donuts shops in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. We suggest stopping in for a quick dozen before heading out to the parade.

And neighborhood favorite La Moon, which lies squarely along the parade route near its start, will help fans celebrate by offering 10 percent off their usual fare. La Moon, which offers Colombian cuisine, is known for its hot dogs and burgers. Atop the burger, the folks at La Moon shovel lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, potato sticks and six different sauces. The legendary Supermoon Perro, featured on Travel Channel's Man v. Food, is a hot dog with cheese, potato chips, five different sauces, smoked sausage and, of course, a celebratory quail egg.
