Whiskey Joe's Bar & Grill Brings Key West to Key Biscayne
|Miami needs more boat drinks.|
Parrotheads rejoice, because Whiskey Joe's is coming to Key Biscayne July of this year. The Tampa-based bar and grill is opening a Key Biscayne location at Rickenbacker Marina, at the former Rickenbacker Fish Company site.
This beach-shack-on-steroids will feature dockside drinking and dining on an outdoor patio that seats 300, a giant tiki hut, live music, and lots of reggae music.
The menu, which is taken largely from the Tampa location, will feature mostly seafood and bar snacks. Sliders are available in Angus burger, BBQ pulled pork, blackened fish, or crabcake ($10.99 for four).
Gator bites ($10.99), beer cheese soup ($4.99 and $6.99), and shrimp and crab mac 'n cheese ($18.99) all stand out as stuff that goes with a tall rum punch.
In addition, Whiskey Joe's will feature a raw bar, extensive beer selection, and tropical drinks served in coconut monkeys. When was the last time you drank out of a coconut monkey?
We're frankly looking forward to a place where the dress code consists of Havianas and a tiki shirt. Because sometimes your lunch should come with a side of SPF 50 and a beer koozie.
