Bloom: Asia and Latin America Meet in Wynwood

Guatamalan restaurateurs Jose Miguel Sarti and Sebastian Stahl have tapped some good talent to bring their vision of combining Asian and Latin American street foods into a cohesive and elegant menu.
Former Nobu chef Ricky Sauri and former Makoto sous-chef Sergio Rivera Alamo are charged with the task. A peek at the menu tells us that inventive minds are at work. Though prices haven't been set yet, we're intrigued by items such as duck forbidden rice (black rice, duck confit, duck egg, and vegetables) sharing the page with braised oxtail tamales (served with Thai coconut rice).
Other menu items include tuna yuke seaweed tacos, red mullet escabeche, Korean barbecue short-rib arepas, and pork-belly ramen.
Not to be left out of Miami's fledgling cocktail culture, Bloom will offer an extensive lineup of libations created by Soho Beach House's Chris Hudnall.
The restaurant will comprise three unique dining areas. Guests can begin their evening at the open-air bar before heading to the open-air dining room, designed around an oak tree. The indoor dining room will feature an open kitchen, photography by Jose Miguel, and live performances.
