Get funky with some "soul shots."
Think you got soul? Then get ready for the second annual Soul Fest this weekend at the Stage (Best New Venue for Live Music by New Times last year).

Soul Fest takes place this Friday and Saturday in celebration of an era "when soul music prevailed." The music alone is enough motivation to attend, but there's more. You'll be able to feast on exclusive food and drink specials provided by none other than Michael Schwartz -- via the award-winning chef's casual dining restaurant, Harry's Pizzeria.

The special menu is so tantalizing that Schwartz even wrote about it on his blog, the Genuine Kitchen.

I'll take some polenta fries, meatball slider and definitely one of each of those SOUL SHOTS!  We also have complimentary Heineken in the courtyard from 11-12 on Friday with Glen David Andrews Band (NOLA) and Ketchy Shuby for DAY 1 of 2nd Annual Soul Fest. DAY 2, we have LEBO Live! with The Iguana's (NOLA). First 150 people receive a LEBO print on Saturday night.  Great ART, FOOD and MUSIC!
