That being said, Miami loves breasts. It's a boobilicious city, and whether you have real ones or enhanced ones, Miami loves ya for it. That's why we love restaurants that've taken a stand to help find a cure for breast cancer by offering a percent of their proceeds to the cause.
Whether you've battled through breast cancer yourself or have loved and lost someone to it, a good meal with a good cause is always a great answer. And thanks to these charitable South Florida restaurants, you have that option all month long.
Blue Collar: Blue Collar has turned into Pink Collar for October, even going as far as changing the signage outside. Chef Daniel Serfer lost his mother to breast cancer, and in an effort to pitch in to the cause, he's designed a Pink Menu whose proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. If you don't want anything on the Pink Menu, though, you can still order from Blue Collar's regular menu. As always, additional donations are always accepted.
Salsa Fiesta: This Sunday, October 14, Salsa Fiesta's Pembroke Pines location will throw a Sunday brunch fundraiser for Broward County's Memorial Breast Cancer Center. For a $10 donation, attendees enjoy a Salsa Fiesta brunch buffet and mimosas. The brunch will run from 10 a.m. to noon, and children under 12 eat free of charge.
Hip Pops: In partnership with Pink Collar, Hip Pops has pledged 100 percent of proceeds from its Pink Pops (with fresh strawberries) to the Komen Foundation. Pink Pops will be sold at Pink Collar all month long in conjunction with the Pink Menu, but you can also find out where Hip Pops' food truck is parked on hippops.com or Twitter, @HipPOPsTruck.
Rocco's Tacos: Get your taco-and-tequila fix at Rocco's Tacos this month and help find a cure -- it's that simple. Last year, the taco shops raised $15,000 for the Komen Foundation. This year, they've upped the ante and pledged $25,000. Sit in on Taco Tuesdays for unlimited tacos at any of their five locations in Broward. Fifteen bucks is all it takes for all the tacos you can eat, and a percent of the proceeds goes to Komen.
