Anthony Bourdain Tweets About Secret Service Keg Party: State Department To Investigate

Looks like everyone in the free world takes what Anthony Bourdain tweets into consideration.

While filming episodes for his new CNN show, Parts Unknown, in Myanmar, Bourdain tweeted the following nugget of inside information:

Bourdain didn't offer any more insight into the kegger or any top-secret information that he might have laid eyes on.

But after all that business with Colombian escorts (and booze) that some members of the Secret Service got themselves into last spring, it looks like the State Department isn't standing for any more frat-boy antics by the people entrusted with keeping POTUS safe and sound.

In a daily U.S. State Department press briefing, a reporter questioned spokesperson Victoria Nuland about the chef/author's tweets. Ms. Nuland, who didn't seem to know about the tweet, said she would have the embassy investigate.

We're thinking Tony should be getting a call from Washington any second. Here's part of the transcript from the November 26 State Department Press Briefing:

QUESTION: Speaking of U.S. entertainers abroad, the celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain is in Myanmar, Burma. He tweeted last night that his team rented mobile phones that had previously been rented by U.S. security personnel connected to the recent visits and that the text messages on them ought to have been deleted beforehand. There are references to keg parties. Anything that you're aware of on that front? (Laughter.)

MS. NULAND: No, but we will have our Embassy follow up on that one for sure.
