UPDATED: Art Basel Eats: From a Phuc Yea! Pop-Up to a Basel Biergarten

Schmoozing with art snobs requires serious sustenance. After all, how will you remain fluent in artspeak, keep track of notable names to drop, and make it from Wynwood to the Beach and back without an adequate caloric intake?

Luckily, the fairs are all on board with keeping you well-fed, so this year's Basel lineup includes lots of pop-ups and other on-site eateries. Here are the top spots to grub up, but be quick about it -- most are temporary guests that will vanish when Basel bails.

Sushi Samba in the Shops at Midtown

The swanky South Beach fave slides into Sustain's old spot amidst a mecca of satellite fairs. They'll be serving up their Brazilian/Japanese cuisine through Sunday.

Cafécito Neptuno at the Standard
No need for a lengthy run to Versailles, 'cause this pop-up will serve cafecitos and Cuban fare 24 hours a day during Basel. The spot is a collaboration between Lincoln Road's recently shuttered David's Café and artist José Parlá.

Basel Biergarten at the Factory Art Show
This Florida craft beer den will also offer candied bacon and artisanal smoked meats at Wynwood Cigar Factory's the Factory Art Show -- because bacon and beer are the ultimate in nourishment.

Phuc Yea! at Scope Miami
The folks behind the Federal Food, Drink & Provisions and Acme Bakery & Coffee (Alejandro Ortiz, Aniece Meinhold, and Cesar Zapata) are bringing Phuc Yea! back for Basel. They're setting up shop at Scope and will also have a pop-up bar dubbed (what else?) Phuc Mei.

Fratelli Lyon & Wood Tavern at Untitled
Fratelli Lyon lives again, at least for a little while. The pop-up at Untitled will feature more than 100 seats and an oceanfront terrace. It'll offer antipastos, salads, ciabatta sandwiches, pizza, pasta, meats, Italian desserts, wine, and prosecco.

Wynwood's living-room-esque hipster hangout, Wood Tavern, is also taking its talents to Untitled in the form of a pop-up bar.

Michael's Genuine at Design Miami/
Mike's artsy outpost at Design Miami/ will serve stone crabs, quiche made with caramelized onion and Gruyère, Tunisian chickpea salad, and of course Michael's Genuine Home Brew on draft, along with wine, cocktails, and Panther coffee.

First Trust Lounge at the Moore Building
While Basel may just be beginning, it's still important to insure it has a happy ending. First Trust will be popping up to say so long to the art world's wildest weekend on Sunday evening. Additional details on the way.
