Jugofresh debuted in South Beach this past March, but the juice bar has already garnered many accolades. Apart from developing a loyal fanbase, the joint has also been named one of America's top juice bars by Food & Wine magazine.

Not bad for a place that's been open for less than a year.

This success has led owner Matthew Sherman to expand beyond the beach. Sherman is now launching ventures that will spread his burgeoning juice bar to Wynwood, Lincoln Road and Lemon City.

The first locale is scheduled to open as a pop-up during Art Basel Miami Beach. It will be situated at 82 NE 29th Street -- near Morgan's and Crossfit. The 200-square-foot space will be designed with back-lit acrylic walls and transparent wallpaper. It will resemble a glowing cube.

"It's an artful, playful design. The experience is supposed to be like an art piece," says Sherman.

Opening day is scheduled for December 1. The pop-up plans to stay open for about two months. Sherman has leased the space for an extended time, but he is unsure whether it will develop into another permanent Jugofresh outpost or a different venture. Other possibilities include a yoga studio or a creative think-tank. "We are playing it by ear and seeing what happens," he says.

But one thing is for certain. Sherman likes the idea of having a presence in Wynwood. "I see the way Wynwood is developing and, from a business standpoint, it's a smart choice. I run into a ton of people there. It seems to be a bustling neighborhood with a high density of people," he explains.

Sherman is also teaming up with Erika and Roma Cohen, the couple that runs Alchemist, the high fashion shop located at 1111 Lincoln Road. In about a month, the pair is scheduled to open a new boutique concept on the first floor of the same building.

It's there that Sherman will be offering his juices. Jugofresh's beverages will be sold in a seating area and refrigerator space designed by Zaha Hadid -- the architect behind the London Aquatics Center for the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Then, in about six months to a year, Sherman will be launching a 22,000-square-foot facility in Lemon City. Located near Soyka, the expansive area will feature a hydroponics lab, commercial and juicing kitchens, office space and a 500-square-foot yoga studio.

It's an ambitious venture, but he says its a part of where Miami is headed.

"Miami was once a party city. Before, everyone was popping bottles all the time. But now we are slowly turning into a city that likes feeling good on a deeper level. It's about feeling healthy and feeling vibrant," he explains.

"People want to eat healthy foods, and that's the true transition of this city. We are just lucky to be a part of it," he says.

With all this expansion, Jugofresh is shaping up to be an even bigger part of the Magic City.

"It will be situated at 82 NE 29th Street -- near Morgan's and Crossfit."CrossFit is a fitness company and program with over 5,000 affiliated gyms worldwide. I'm assuming that you're referring to 29th Street CrossFit, one of those CrossFit affiliates.
