Knaus Berry Farm's Season Opener: Long Lines For Cinnamon Rolls
| Laine Doss |
| Lines everywhere. |
After a long line at the polls (a friend clocked the wait to vote at Miami Beach City Hall at three hours, 23 minutes, 48.6 seconds), we just wanted to get out of the city. We drove down to Homestead with a cold strawberry shake and a warm cinnamon roll on our minds.
After all, we've been waiting months for Knaus Berry Farm to open for the season, visions of freshly baked breads, cookies, and pies dancing in out heads.
That dream quickly turned to reality when we saw the line. Literally hundreds of people snaked past the Knaus Berry Farm parking lot and out onto the street.
The family-run farm and baked goods stand, saw thousands of people drive down for the season opener. Knaus opened this past Thursday and for many, getting the first rolls of the season is an annual event.
Jamie Stagg and Nick Tavaglione were just at the front of the line, having waited for about an hour. When asked why they waited so long, Tavaglione simply replied, "Have you tasted these cinnamon rolls? They're the best."
