Kim Kardashian's BFF Jonathan Cheban Opens Sushi MiKasa (Photos)

| Sushi MiKasa is already attracting famous faces. |
The restaurant, in the lobby of the Shelborne Beach Resort hotel, is hidden from hotel guests by dark wood panels and a billowing linen curtain. In fact, even though we knew exactly where the restaurant was, we still managed to pass it before doing a double take. Restaurant partner and Kardashian bestie Jonathan Cheban explained that's to ensure a dining experience that's gawker and paparazzi-free for the A-list diners he expects to frequent his establishment.
With less than a week open, Sushi MiKasa has already seen Kimbo Slice, Lance Bass, Marysol Patton, Chris and Adrienne Bosh, and Kim Kardashian drink fruit infused sake and eat sushi.

Cheban is proud of his sushi, sourced from the finest fish. "We serve only the best fish here, flown in from Japan via New York. Blue fin tuna, king salmon. This is couture sushi."
Diners can pick and choose from a large assortment of sushi and rolls, with both standard options and specialties available. In addition, three different omakase options are available. Instead of the standard omakase where the chef chooses what to serve you, these omakase dinners list what you'll get. Prices range from $70 to $140 per person, each including both sushi selections and rolls.
Specialty cocktails, hot and cold sake, and the above-mentioned fruit-infused sakes are available. The restaurant was out of Italian Cherry, but the strawberry sake ($18 for a carafe) was light and sweet enough to compliment the fish, when we were invited to try out some sushi and sake last evening.
