| Dylan's Candy Bar: Sugar rush guaranteed. |
The two-story store, located on the tony Upper East Side, was an instant hit with both pampered children and adults yearning for a sweeter time. The store featured old-fashioned candies, giant versions of gummy bears and candy bears, stuffed animals, and a rainbow assortment of jelly beans. A cafe filled with decadent treats begged to be the scene of countless parties and even sleep-overs.

Lauren rode the success wave, launching private-label candies, a clothing line, and expanding into expensive shops like Neiman Marcus. Dylan also branched out into a few select cities, opening shops in East Hampton, Houston, and now Miami Beach -- just in time for Valentine's Day candy shopping.
The shop, located in the former Ghiradelli's on Lincoln Road, soft opens to the public today. The soft opening will bring a first look at the colorful Wonka-like setting filled with over 5,000 different candies including bulk treats by the pound and enough chocolate to satisfy any chocoholic.
What's the best and biggest treat to buy? According to store manager Ada Rizzello, it's the five-pound chocolate bar -- a steal at $35.
The shop will also feature an outdoor cafe and bar (we are soooo looking forward to their cocktail selection), which opens next week.
Until then, come in and get a sugar fix. Dylan's is open Monday - Friday from 11 a.m. to midnight; Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
