A pop-up restaurant is being planned as part of a fundraising climb on Tanzania's Mount Kilimanjaro.
The temporary restaurant will open at the mountain's base camp, which is situated a dizzying 12,500 feet above sea level.
Senegalese chef Pierre Thiam, executive chef/owner at Le Grand Dakar restaurant in Brooklyn, New York, will fly in to prepare the meal, consisting of regional African cuisine.

If you just fell off your chair, the dinner does give new meaning to the term "all-inclusive" since it includes roundtrip airfare from Washington, D.C., lodging, and the Kili climb. A portion of the proceeds will benefit St. Timothy's School and Home for Tanzanian orphans.
The dinner will serve as a celebratory meal for a group of climbers who will (hopefully) be working their way down the mountain after their summit to the top of Kilii's Uhuru Peak, at an elevation of 19,340 feet. Climbers will also spend two days volunteering at the St. Timothy's School.
The expedition departs D.C. on Monday, February 18, with the dinner planned for the end of February.
