Buddha would brunch.

Miami's on one heck of a brunch kick, and why not? It's arguably the most exciting meal of the week, usually enjoyed with a group of friends or loved ones, and likely involves drinking alcoholic beverages long before the sun sets.

Three of Miami's newest hot spots have introduced brunch -- each with their own takes on our favorite way to spend a lazy weekend afternoon.

The food
Dena Marino fuses Italian rustic foods and traditional brunch classics together for brunch like stove oven baked eggs with spicy sausage, spinach, brioche and fontina béchamel ($12); Ribollita Tuscan bread soup made with vegetables, Tuscan cabbage, white beans, torn croutons and unfiltered olive oil ($8); black truffle bruschetta with poached egg, shaved truffles, crispy prosciutto and creamy parmigiano fonduta ($24); Parmigiano Reggiano cavatelli with tomato sauce and basil spuma ($15).

The booze: Pair your Italian feast with a Dogfish Head beer cocktail.
The hours: Mangia your heart out Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
