Five Places to Get Brunch in Miami for $30 or Less

Plenty of restaurants in Miami serve a fantastic brunch spread -- but most of them are expensive.
And let's face it: Not all of us are doctors and lawyers who can afford a $65 Sunday brunch at Edge or even a $45 brunch at La Gloutonnerie. Racking up a bill of 85 bucks a person isn't exactly pleasant, but it's sure as hell easy in this city.
Restaurants like those might be worth it, but they're the kinds of places we visit after our tax refund comes in. In the meantime, Miami has plenty of spots where we peons can eat well and not have to pay an arm and a leg. Keep this list handy for the next time you want to find brunch on the cheap.
On the corner of a run-of-the-mill Biscayne Boulevard shopping plaza lies an unassuming Italian eatery. The quaint restaurant takes pride in its homemade mozzarella, but a cheap brunch should also be worth a high head. Omelets and scrambled eggs run for $8 (and you can add any toppings for a buck and a half). Eggs Benedict are priced at $9.50, and pancakes or French toast with fruit and cream cost $8.50. A platter of Italian sausage, scrambled eggs, and bacon is $9.50, and coffee (any way you take it: American, espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc.) and fresh juices range from $2 to $3.50. Ni.Do. is the ideal place to have a simple brunch away from the hustle and bustle of the more crowded areas of the city. Service begins every Sunday at 10 a.m.
Blue Collar is Miami's no-brainer for a hassle-free great meal at a fair price. No one ever thought the Biscayne Inn Motel would see so much business adjacent to those questionably clean rooms. In any case, BC has kept consistent. Brunch there is just as good as any other meal there, and what's more, like NiDo, it's far away from most of the city's weekend madness. One of our favorite dishes of 2012 was BC's pork and beans with smoky bacon run for $13. Brandon's Breakfast -- two eggs, pancakes, bacon, Proper Sausages sausage, toast, and hash, served with real maple syrup -- goes for $17. Pair your Blue Collar fixings with an unlimited thermos full of hot Panther Coffee for just three bucks. Saturdays and Sundays 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m..
