Miami's Best Eats and Drinks This Weekend
Chilly this morning, huh?
Bill Cooke Art Deco Weekend awaits.
This city is at her finest when we have 80-degree weather one day and 60 degrees the next. Makes us feel like L.A. but without all the earthquakes and cold ocean water.
The weekend is supposed to be lovely. Sure, there's a drizzle or two expected on Saturday, but it won't take much to plan well. Plan like a Miamian, we mean.
Here now are Miami's best eats and drinks this weekend. From beer to birthdays to brunch, here are the best things to do!
A free reminder of Miami's rich artistic and architectural history is never a bad thing. Ever. That's why when Art Deco Weekend rolls around, we make it a point to go every single year. It's not that the buildings change. It's not that the vendors change or the parade varies much. It's that it all stays the same. Why wouldn't we embrace a constant in our city that's seeing more and more change every day? And, yea, the art is awesome. And the parade is entertaining. And there are unmissable plates of food to be had around. And the shirtless firemen are hot. But, you know, it's all about the cultural importance and history.

Beer. It's tough to live with it, and it's tougher to live without it. Have you ever noticed how many occasions revolve around beer? Take festivals like Oktoberfest out of the occasion for a second. We mean in the casual sense. How many times do you hear "let's discuss this over a beer," or "wanna go grab a beer," or "I could really use a beer right now." It's instilled in our mind as the optimal go-to for a less stressful environment. Now, with that in mind, strongly consider heading out to the Miami Beer Festival. Not only will it give you an excellent opportunity to visit the Marlins Stadium that you paid for, but more than 50 breweries from around the world will be there with a tap of craft and a glass for you. Who says no to a pub the size of a baseball stadium? Those aren't hyperbolic terms.
