Bunnie Cakes Opens in Wynwood Tomorrow: Free Cupcakes While Supplies Last

Vegans have a new place to give and get sweet treats -- just in time for Valentine's Day -- when Bunnie Cakes opens its doors in Wynwood tomorrow, February 9.

The small shop, helmed by baker Mariana Cortez, features a selection of baked goods like cupcakes and brownies.

In addition, ice cream treats like sundaes and shakes will be offered. And, of course, all products are vegan.

The bakery will also have many gluten-free offerings, as well as coffee, tea, soups, and light savories.

Cortez, who started baking vegan and gluten-free cakes for her son after a doctor recommended a strict diet for the boy, has built quite a following in Miami, baking cakes for upscale parties at fancy restaurants like Barton G. and selling her products at over a dozen south Florida shops.

And now, Cortez is opening her first bakery. Bunnie Cakes will open its doors tomorrow, February 9, at noon. The shop will be open until 7 p.m., but come in before 3 p.m. for a celebration featuring live music, free cupcakes (while supplies last), and other surprises.

It's a good time to do some early Valentine's Day shopping since all Bunnie Cakes cupcakes are topped with a signature candy heart. That's so sweet!
