So, with all the festivals in Miami, what could be better than one that celebrates Cuban food and drink?
That's why we're looking forward to the Taste of Cuba festival, a three-day event that celebrates the flavors of the island that's so close to Miami in geography and heart.
The festival, which runs April 26 through 28 at the Miami Circle, will feature lots of Cuban food, music, native art, cigars, and daily domino competitions. Here's a breakdown of some of the activities:
Friday, April 26, 5 to 11 p.m.
Happy hour kickoff and guayabera party featuring drink specials, food, cigars, and live music.
Saturday, April 27, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Family friendly daytime activities include seminars on Cuban cooking, mojito making, and cocktail and food pairings; a live performance by Timbashe; domino tournaments; and a Cuban art walk. Evening activities include good food, live, music, dancing, and cigars.
Sunday, April 28, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Start out with brunch at the festival and listen to live music by Los Tres de la Habana until the sun goes down. The domino competition continues on Sunday, as well.
General admission tickets cost $20; VIP access, which includes unlimited spirit sampling, is $100 per day. Food and drink tickets are available at the festival, and most items are priced between $1 and $8.
Purchase tickets for a limited time through Voice Daily Deals and you'll pay only $10 for GA tickets and $50 for VIP. That's a great price to enjoy a day filled with the rhythms and flavors of Cuba. But hurry -- this half-priced offer expires tomorrow evening.
