Pinkberry to Open Storefront on Ocean Drive in May
Yesterday we had a bit of an email brawl over the news that Pinkberry was opening a third location in Miami.

The storefront is set to open May 10 at 1144 Ocean Dr., and some people around here were saying, "Get over it -- the froyo fad is dead."
First of all, frozen yogurt will never die. Second, who wouldn't want a cold, delicious, low-calorie treat with fresh fruit on a sweltering summer day at the beach?
Yeah. We thought so.
Ron Graves, CEO of Pinkberry, doesn't want to stop with just three South Florida locations. "Aventura and Prado Pinkberry stores are off to a great start... [We're] looking for more opportunities to develop stores in the state," he says.
Much to the nonchalant eye-roll responses of our co-workers, we think there can never be too many frozen yogurt bars.
South Beach residents and beachgoers alike can expect the whole nine yards from the third location. Pinkberry offers fresh frozen yogurt in more than 15 varieties that rotate based on the season.
Also proffered are onsite hand-cut fruit toppings such as strawberries, pineapple, mango, and kiwi, as well as dry toppings like assorted cereals, cookie crumbles, and granola. Cinnamon honey, organic vanilla agave, and strawberry purée can also be added to finish the frozen treats to your liking.
Any combination of flavors and/or toppings can be blended into a smoothie or layered as a parfait.
Pinkberry also offers a Greek variety of protein-rich nonfat yogurt with 15 grams of protein per five-ounce serving and no sugar added. Come on, people. This after the beach?
Froyo will not die.
Pinkberry SoBe will be open Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to midnight.
