It's tax day. Time to drink and eat.
Every year, that old bromide is bandied about: The only two things certain in this world are death and taxes.

We're not so sure about cheating the IRS or the Grim Reaper (we'd love to do both), but we do know that you can at least have a clever cocktail or a bite to eat.

Whether you're celebrating a nice check from Uncle Sam or plotting an escape to a country without extradition laws, here's a list of the best tax day eats and drinks in Miami.

That's the only green we'll see after the IRS.
Mercadito Midtown is offering the traditional guacamole for $4.15 today only. If you had to write an extra-large check to the government, head to Mercadito between 4 and 7 p.m. to drown your sorrows in $5 margaritas, wine, flautas, and tacos (two for $5).

Can we "roll" back the tax rate?
Wish you could "roll" back your taxes? RA Sushi is offering guests a "Tax Day Monday" special. The South Miami restaurant is extending its happy hour from 3 p.m. till closing. That means you can chow down on more than 35 sushi, appetizer, and tapas selections ($2.25 to $7.25) and hoist a few beers, glasses of wine, or cocktails ($3 to $7) for couch change.
