Win Tickets to Brew at the Zoo (Video)

Thumbnail image for brewatthezoo2013.jpg
Miami is world-famous for its party animals, but most people don't usually think of tigers, monkeys, and gorillas. But they love a good time too. That's why New Times' Brew at the Zoo is such an awesome event.

The fourth annual Brew at the Zoo will take place Saturday, May 4, at Zoo Miami from 7 to 11 p.m. The event will feature more than 100 beers for sampling, including some rare and creative homebrews at Homebrew Alley; delicious food; and live music featuring a concert by Naughty by Nature.

General admission tickets cost $35 in advance and $45 at the gate. VIP tickets -- which grant you entry to the event one hour early, access to the VIP lounge, and catered food -- cost $75 in advance and $85 at the gate. You can purchase advance tickets here.

If you're a homebrewer in Miami-Dade, Brew at the Zoo is looking for you to join Homebrew Alley. Contact Anthony Gordon at anthony.gordon@miaminewtimes.com for details.

Want to win tickets for this awesome event? Just tell us your favorite beer in the comments section of this post for a chance to win a pair of tickets. We'll randomly choose one winner this Friday. Just be sure to register with a valid email address so we can contact you.

Remember this song? Now you can get down with OPP (other people's pints) at Brew at the Zoo:

Favorite beer: the one that's free.

But really, the Abbey Brewing Co.'s Apricot Wheat Ale. So GOOD.

I can't pick just one craft beer I like there are so many......but some limited editions I will miss are Ovila, the Abbey Quad and the Humdinger Burnpile. A weekend brew available all year, Green Flash Palate Wrecker Still waiting for the local Wynwood and Most Wanted X in the mean time there is the Abbey on S Beach or my own brew

Opus Ales, 4th Age Brewing, Most Wanted Brewing, Wynwood Brewing & anything any local home brewer can cook up is A OK in my book!! These kind of beer festivals are about trying new and upcoming beers and home brewers and independent craft breweries are the way to go!! Support the LOCAL craft beer movement!!

It's hard to top a frosty Guinness on draft unless its 100 degrees, then I would say a Kalik Gold.
