Top Ten Lunch Spots in Miami
2. Blue Collar
Blue Collar via Facebook White collar folks don't know what they're missing.
Do you love Chanukah? EVERYONE loves Chanukah. At Blue Collar, you can get Chanukah latkes ($9) with homemade apple sauce year-round. Do you have $11? Then skip keeping Kosher and order chef Danny Serfer's ridiculously delicious pork and beans, with bacon and Berkshire sausage and white beans and a fried egg and toast. You could also get things from the $4 veggie chalkboard like curried cauliflower purée, roasted fennel, and caramelized Brussels sprouts. Then get a thermos of Panther Coffee ($3). Because everyone loves Chanukah, pork, and thermoses.
1. Frenchie's Diner
billwisserphoto.com Duck confit? Say "oui"!
What to order for ten bucks or less at Frenchie's Diner: French onion soup ($7), escargots ($10), B.L.T sandwich ($7), cheeseburger ($10), or CROQUE FREAKIN' MONSIEUR ($10). The latter, an explosion of deliciousness and melted cheese and butter-filled béchamel in your mouth, is probably the best thing you will eat for lunch, like ever. And there's ham inside. And it comes with French fries. (Although their salad is pretty good too.) Go to Frenchie's. Go French or go diner. Whatever you do, get their awesome croque-monsieur.
