Hakkasan launches new summer menu items.
There is little doubt that Hakkasan, the sexy, elegant Chinese restaurant at the Fontainebleau Hotel, is one of the best places to dine on Chinese cuisine in Miami Beach. Because of this, the restaurant could rest on its laurels, serving the same dishes and still getting kudos from its tony clientele.

But, a great restaurant knows that the key is to keep some standard bearers, while giving the menu a fresh coat of paint every now and then. Hakkasan has done just that, introducing new summer dishes featuring some surprising ingredients not usually seen on most Chinese restaurant menus.

Short Order was invited to sample some of the items, which included smoke-infused Negronis, foie gras dumplings, and clay pot venison. Here's a taste of their new seasonal menu.

Negroni at Chinese restaurant? Yes, if it's a smoked Negroni, made with Grand Marnier-infused hickory wood chips ($17).

You don't have to wait for Sunday to have dim sum. Assorted dumplings filled with shrimp, scallops, and vegetables ($28).
