Alcohol, some believe, causes honesty. Homefield Sports Bar and Grill will host a talk on faith with Miami Archbishop Thomas Wenski called Theology on Tap Tuesday, October 15.

From 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. over some suds or wine, Wenski will give the presentation "Relevance Found: How Is the Catholic Church Relevant to Our Lives Today?"

Beer and the Catholic Church have some history together. Several Catholic saints are associated with beer or brewing, including Saint Arnulf and Saint Augustine. Benedictine orders brew their own and are known worldwide for making first-class beer and wine.

Although Wenski doesn't imbibe, Catholic priests like to drink a beer from time to time. The Monastery of Christ in the Desert in New Mexico added a brewery operation in 2005.

If you're not too keen on the faith, maybe this is your chance to meet Wenski and have a little sesh over some cold brews.
