Monday means the end of your sabbath. Yes, that alarm this morning is real -- it wasn't a dream. And, absolutely, you better believe that work is calling, your phone is blowing up from emails (curse those who reply to all), and you're wondering why you didn't call in sick.

But you know the greatest thing about Mondays? They are your eternal "second" chance, to start with a clean slate. This week, you can begin with a barbecue and we'll move upward from there.

Sound good?

Latin Barbecue Pop-Up at Bulldog Barbecue
Better to start the week off fun with something out of the ordinary. Like going to Howie Kleinberg and Ted Mendez's Latin barbecue pop-up tonight, for example. The Bulldog Barbecue and Grove Isle toques are serving up a family-style dinner at Aventura's Bulldog location. $50 per person includes smoked chicken and queso fresco empanadas with guava barbecue sauce; crispy fried shrimp with orange aji panka glaze and fresh garden herb salad; brisket vaca frita with congri, fried egg and vegetable escabeche; wood-grilled hog snapper with Florida tomatoes, avocado and olives; "pork squared" which consists of Cuban spice-rubbed charcoal roasted shoulder, loin, belly, and ribs, with yellow chicharron, rice and sour orange mojo; and for dessert, caramelized banana brownie checkerboard sundae with fresh whipped cream and fudge. Reservations begin at 6 p.m. and you can call 305 940.9655 to make one.
