Miami's Best Eats and Drinks this Weekend: Free Beer, Barbecue, and Mezcal

Categories: Weekend Guide

Mezcal: One of the main food groups.
This weekend is all about getting your freebies on. The only thing that tastes better than the most expensive caviar is the most expensive caviar when it's given to you for free -- amiright?

For the next few days, enjoy free suds at Gramps, free barbecue from Sparky's Roadside Barbecue, free Mezcal frozen cocktails, and free laughs to pair with it.

Throw in some art, and a few bites from Miami food trucks and you've got yourself a fan-flippin'-tastic weekend perfect for those will shallow pockets.

Free Beer and Barbecue at Gramps
There's only one great thing about being broke in Miami, and that's that there are plenty of free things to do, see, eat, and drink, almost all the time. We can't think of one day when someone isn't shelling out free bites somewhere. It's great to be broke here. Gramps will be offering free Duvel Single and Sparky's Roadside Barbecue from 6 to 9 p.m. Within that time frame, if you've got a couple loose dollars crumpled in your pocket, you can cash in on the rest of the beer garden specials from 2 to 6 buck brews (6-7 p.m.), 3 buck brews from 7 to 8 p.m. and 5 buck brews from 8 to 9 p.m. The first 50 people to buy a $5 Duvel will receive a limited edition Duvel Collection art glass. RSVP before you hit the garden!

Art Walk
Second Saturdays (and First Fridays and Third Thursdays, etc) have become an institution in cities across the country where art and creativity reign supreme. For just one night a month, we can hang up our pinstripe suits, unbuckle our belts, remove the pins holding up our hair in a tight bun, and just relax. It's quite easy being human, we're the only ones who make it difficult. Miami's Artwalk is a reminder that not everything is about numbers and the bottom line. Other stuff counts too. Check out this incredible Cuban art exhibit (we'll be there!) and munch on food and drinks from the food trucks parked in the lot.
