Choices Cafe: Travel + Leisure Names Among Best Vegetarian Restaurants
Miami's not exactly rife with vegetarian options. There aren't nearly enough, well, choices.

But there's an exception. Since 2011, Choices Cafe has been providing meatless eats for local herbivores. And now Travel + Leisure has recognized its merits.
The national magazine has named the Brickell-area cafe among the top vegetarian restaurants in the nation.
Travel + Leisure praises the cozy spot's daily offerings, in addition to their weekend-only, make-your-own-pancakes brunch. (For anyone who hasn't given the brunch a go, know this: It's seriously awesome.)
"Freshness is the order of the day at this downtown café. Organic juices and smoothies come in tempting blends such as Green Dinner (apple-kale-spinach-ginger-lemon), Sex A-Peel (apple-beet-cucumber-ginger), and CocoBliss (coconut-cacao-goji-almond butter-chia-agave)," writes the author.
"As a small cafe founded by two brothers who left successful careers in an effort to make the world a better place, we are thrilled with this tremendous recognition," says Lori Zito of Choices Cafe. "We are honored to even be known outside of Miami, and humbled to be noted alongside vegan icons such as Millennium [in San Francisco] and Candle 79 [in New York]."
In 2012, the spot was recognized as the city's best vegan restaurant in Miami New Times' Best Of issue. Choices Cafe has a loyal following of healthy eaters and meat-free foodies.
"Our mission is to inspire compassionate choices by serving delicious, healthy, and organic plant-based food prepared with love for people, animals and the planet," Zito explains. "We are a business that is focused on sustainable practices, and every choice we make is in line with our mission. We take pride in that, and we believe it is reflected in our food."
